Dr. Jerome Baudry is the interim chair of the department of biological sciences and a professor at ÂÜÀòµºapp (UAH), where he conducts pharmaceutical research in collaboration with colleagues in academic, industrial pharmaceutical and medical fields. In August 2017, he was also appointed as the Ms. Pei-Ling Chan chair.

Dr. Baudry's research spans over two decades in academia, industry and the military, and he has worked in national laboratories in Europe and the United States. Over the last 15 years, he has secured approximately 9 million dollars in private industrial and federal external funding for his research and has published over 100 scientific articles.

He serves on review or advisory boards for the National Science Foundation (NSF), the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Academy of Sciences (NAS). He is also a board member for various universities and research foundations and co-chairs the Scientific Advisory Board of The Tyrosinemia Society. Previously, Dr. Baudry served on boards of the Huntsville Chamber Music Guild and BioAlabama and was president of the Huntsville chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
