Biography

Andrew Andy Aldrin serves as Executive Director of Space Programs at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Worldwide and as CEO and President of the Board of the Aldrin Family Foundation.

Quite literally born into the space age, Dr. Aldrin has built a career at the intersection of policy, industry, entrepreneurship, and education. Beyond his unique upbringing alongside one of the most influential figures in space exploration, he has been a Sovietologist, industry executive, entrepreneur, andsince 2015a dedicated educator focused on preparing the next generation of space professionals.

Dr. Aldrin is currently an Associate Professor and Executive Director of Space Programs at Embry-Riddle, where he founded two graduate programs: the Master of Science in Space Systems and the Master of Space Operations. Together, these programs enroll more than 1,500 students worldwide. Previously, he founded and directed the International Space Universitys Center for Space Entrepreneurship at Florida Tech, where he also served as Associate Professor of Engineering Management.

Before entering academia, Dr. Aldrin held senior leadership roles in industry and government research, including executive positions at RAND, Boeing, United Launch Alliance, and Moon Express.
