UAH Students

  • Major ethical positions in both classical and modern thought. The course may include a consideration of case studies drawn from practical contexts in engineering, medicine and other areas.

  • This course offers the student a comprehensive understanding of the Gulf region, delving into its geographical, historical, and socioeconomic dimensions. Students will embark on a journey to understand the Gulf's intricate ecosystem and its dynamic relationship with human societies.

  • This course teaches student to read, interpret, and explain scientific research in social science. Course covers key elements and process of sociological research methods, both qualitative and quantitative.

Calhoun Community College Students

  • This course offers the student an introduction to the humanities using selections from art, music, literature, history, and philosophy, which relates to a unifying theme of ecology and sustainability.

GSP 400 - Gulf Impact Project (3 credit hours)

Students will be paired with a faculty member as a supervisor and a community member to design and implement their impact project in a community.

Community Service

Students are required to complete 30 hours of community service. Students will work in their specific disciplines and with Wild Alabama and other community organizations.
