It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Jimmy Hubbard, Director of Student Ethics and Education, who passed away following a brief illness.

Jimmy joined UAH in 2017, bringing with him a strong commitment to student development and care. Prior to his time at UAH, he served for 10 years in Housing and Residential Communities at The University of Alabama. His career also included roles at Bethel University in McKenzie, Tennessee, and the University of Tennessee at Martin. Jimmy maintained deep roots in western Tennessee and cherished his extended family and close friends there, as well as his “friends who are family” in Nashville, North Carolina and Tuscaloosa.

Beyond his professional contributions, Jimmy was actively involved in his church and choir, reflecting his generous spirit and dedication to community.

“Jimmy was dedicated to supporting students' growth and helping them learn from their experiences with fairness and care. His work made a meaningful difference in the lives of countless students at UAH and he will be missed dearly,” said Dr. Ronnie Hebert, Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 11, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church (), with a reception immediately following the service.

For those who wish to honor Jimmy’s memory, memorial contributions may be made to:

  • McKenzie, TN High School Alumni Association Scholarship Fund
  • St. Matthew’s Church – Madison, Alabama
  • Greater Huntsville Humane Society

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Jimmy’s family, friends, colleagues and all who were touched by his life and work. He will be deeply missed across our campus community.

  • Verify for Accuracy: While NotebookLM is "source-grounded," you should always verify the AI-generated citations against your original files to ensure accuracy.
  • Safety Check: To confirm you are in the protected app space, check the bottom of the page for the following message:

Note: There has not yet been a schedule determined for making Google Gemini available to app students.

Unfortunately, packages using Courier Express are being delivered to various locations causing difficulty to track and locate. This issue has been brought to the attention of McMaster-Carr and this carrier with little resolve. Thus, it is imperative that when placing your order/purchase, request a different carrier because there are no guarantees that your order will arrive at the right location.
