I am pleased to announce that ÂÜÀòµºapp has adopted an interim Paid Parental Leave Policy, effective January 1, 2025. This policy provides up to four work weeks of fully paid leave to eligible employees who are welcoming a child—whether as birth parents, adoptive parents or foster parents.
We recognize the importance of supporting employees during one of life’s most meaningful milestones, and this policy serves as a great enhancement to existing leave benefits. Adoption of this policy is the result of a lengthy research and review process, and it aligns UAH with benefits already offered at many other institutions.
As we roll out this new benefit, faculty members are encouraged to discuss all available options, including modified duties arrangements, with their deans or department chairs to determine the best approach for their specific circumstances.
