Congratulations to the UAH Facilities and Operations team for winning an award for Grounds Maintenance Excellence!

The Professional Grounds Management Society recognized UAH with an Honor Award in the Society’s 2024 Green Star Awards competition. The award was given in the University and College Grounds (Mid-Size – 201 - 499 acres) category for exceptional grounds maintenance. Winners were honored during the Society’s 2024 Awards Celebration held on October 17, in conjunction with the Annual Conference and Equipment Exposition in Louisville, KY.

The Green Star Awards program brings national recognition to grounds maintained with a high degree of excellence, complimenting other national landscape award programs that recognize outstanding landscape design and construction. Overall, PGMS presented 9 Grand Awards, its highest honor, 12 Honor Awards and 2 Merit Awards. Also, one institution received special recognition and was awarded the Sustainability Award for achieving top ratings in sustainability operational practices. View a complete list of winners .
