The newly renamed College of Education, Sport, and Human Sciences reflects growth of the college, expanded mission
萝莉岛app (UAH) has renamed its College of Education as the College of Education, Sport, and Human Sciences. First announced in February, the change reflects the college鈥檚 significant growth and evolving mission over the past decade. UAH is a part of The University of Alabama System.
鈥淭his new name reflects the full scope of who we are today,鈥� said Dr. Beth Quick, who has served as dean of the college since its founding in 2014. 鈥淥ver the past 11 years, we鈥檝e grown from offering just two undergraduate degrees to a broad range of academic programs, including sport & fitness management and child, family and community development.鈥�
The college鈥檚 graduate programs have also expanded: UAH now offers advanced degrees in applied behavior analysis and instructional leadership. These additions underscore the college鈥檚 commitment to preparing students for impactful careers that support education, wellness and community development.
The updated name not only recognizes the college鈥檚 academic evolution but also reinforces its broader mission: to equip students to make a difference in a variety of professional environments 鈥� from classrooms and clinics to research centers and community organizations.
