
Sociology Minor
People in most careers can benefit from a deeper understanding of human behavior and social organization, making a minor in sociology an excellent supplement to a wide variety of majors, including secondary education, philosophy, communication arts, business, nursing, earth system science, history, psychology, and political science.
To minor in sociology, students must complete 21 hours of sociology courses, including SOC 100, with a minimum of 12 hours of courses at or above the 300 level.

Criminology and Intelligence Studies Minor
The minor in Criminology and Intelligence Studies focuses on the development of both foundational skills, such as critical thinking and analytical writing used in intelligence, and an advanced understanding of criminological theory and research. The minor helps prepare students from a variety of majors for future work with the FBI or other intelligence agencies, in criminal law, in policy development, and/or other related fields.
